After several postponements, the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League season finally commenced on Sunday and it was a shocking result for the league followers across the country as Bendel Insurance picked three maximum points after a 0-2 victory in Uyo.
Former champions Akwa United played host to the newly promoted Bendel Insurance and it was a surprising result for the ‘Promise Keepers’.
Played at the Goodswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo, the host dominated the game right from the kick-off but found it difficult to break down the backline of the visitors.
