In a dramatic turn of events at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a Ghanaian man bound for Dubai was apprehended by authorities for carrying three bullets in his possession.

The 33-year-old individual was intercepted at the airport screening area just moments before he was scheduled to depart on a Kenya Airways flight.

According to police reports, the man was found to be illegally in possession of three 9mm ammunition during a routine security check on Thursday. Prompt action was taken by the authorities, who promptly denied his departure and subjected him to an intense interrogation.

Concerned with the potential implications of this alarming discovery, the Ghanaian man was subsequently handed over to the Anti-Terror Police Unit for further profiling and investigation.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are working diligently to determine the motives behind the man’s actions and whether there are any potential links to terrorism.

His motive for the possession of the bullets and trying to fly with them to Dubai is yet to be disclosed.

He had been in Nairobi for a while, police noting they suspect he got the bullets locally.

“A probe is ongoing to establish the source of the bullets,” police said on Friday.

The man was expected in court where police planned to ask for more time to hold him as they investigate the incident.

Bullets are among the items prohibited on a flight.

Passengers are supposed to surrender them to the airlines and produce documents for possession.
