A few hours later, Arineitwe went to Kabale police barracks where he picked a gun and shot dead Caroline Komugisha following another feud. Arineitwe was allegedly having an affair with both women.

After the two incidents, Arineitwe unsuccessfully attempted to commit suicide by shooting. Appearing in court on Friday, Arinetwe was charged with two counts of murder. Rachel Tabaruka, the Kabale chief magistrate committed Arineitwe saying that her court has no jurisdiction to hear his case.
