An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court has sentenced a 38-year-old man identified as Adesile Mayowa, to three months imprisonment for stealing packs of bottled water.
The chief magistrate, Mrs Titilayo Ola-Olorun, sentenced the convict who pleaded guilty to the offence. She, however, gave the convict an option of N10,000 fine.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Johnson Okunade, told the court that the convict went to the shop of one Alhaji Babalola Isiaka and stole six packs of bottled water.
The magistrate ordered the convict to be remanded in custody until he pays the fine.
