Ramadan: Saudi’s King presents food to Borno IDP

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has presented food items to 5,300 vulnerable households in Borno, Nigeria for the Ramadan season.

The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mustapha Habib, commended the centre for its continued humanitarian support to Nigeria while distributing the items at the Muna displaced persons camp in Maiduguri on Monday.

Each household will receive a 59.0kg basket of food items, including rice, beans, masavita flour, tomato paste, groundnut oil, salt, and seasoning cubes.

Habib noted that the beneficiaries were identified and profiled by NEMA in collaboration with the Borno State Emergency Management Agency. The intervention has been described as timely and will facilitate the recovery process in the state.
