Napoli striker Victor Osimhen arrived in Nigeria on Tuesday morning aboard a chartered private jet flight to join his Super Eagles teammates at their pre-AFCON qualifier camp in Lagos.

Osimhen who bagged 26 goals to help Napoli win the Scudetto for their first since 1990, missed the Super Eagles’ first training on Monday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.

His arrival brings the number of players in the Super Eagles’ Lagos camp to 22.

Osimhen is expected to lead the Super Eagles strike force against the Leone Stars in Monrovia on Sunday, June 18th.

Nigeria tops their qualification group (A) with 9 points after four matches followed by Guinea Bissau’s Wild Dog with 7 points, the Leone Stars are third in the group with 5 points followed by Sao Tome and Principe with only a point.

Victory for Nigeria in Monrovia will see the 3-time AFCON champions qualify for the continent’s biggest football fiesta in Ivory Coast.
