It was delight for players and officials of the football academy side after Golden Eaglets assistant captain, Yahaya Lawali made a surprise visit to the club in Abuja.
Lawali who scooped two Man of the Match awards and was selected in the Group Stage XI by CAF at the U17 AFCON in Algeria, is a product of Mahanaim FC.
In a tweet shared by the club on its official Twitter handle read.
“Nigeria U17 assistant captain, Yahaya Lawali was at the training ground with his teammates to share his AFCON experience.
“The boys were excited for the Academy product who was VOTED Man of the Match twice.
“Lawali words inspired his teammates. We are proud of him.”
Recall last week and according to sources, Spanish La Liga and Catalan giants Barcelona concluded plans to sign the Eaglets right-back.
While top Belgian and French clubs are also interested in the Mahanaim FC product.
