While speaking to the press after the game Ladan Bosso congratulated Nigerians for the victory whilst dedicating the win to his mentor.

“I will just have to congratulate Nigeria that at least Nigeria as a nation is at the medal table.

“First of all, I need to dedicate this hostile win to my mentor in Niger that is Fanny Amu, he called me after the qualification and said,” Bosso , everybody is happy with the team that we have qualified but we will try to use the last two matches to prepare for the World Cup.

Jude Sunday made his first start in the competition, scored a brace and was voted the man of the match after the win and Bosso was happy with the impact from the players who came from the bench.

“You can see what is happening with players that have been on the bench that haven’t played any match some of them started today and one of them that has been coming from the bench started the match today and eventually he was named man of the match meaning that amongst all the 25 players we took to this place all of them have had a playing time.

“Yes of course, today we didn’t kick the ball much we went for goals and we got them so if we have been playing like that forget about the beauty of the game all we were looking for is purposefulness so it is a lesson learnt, it is lesson we are going to improve on for the betterment of Nigeria,” Bosso said while clearing doubts on the team’s general play struggles.

He then concluded on the team’s preparations for the World Cup which will take place in Indonesia and commence in May later this year.

“I’ve said it earlier, I have communicated the IMC, the people that are in charge of the registration of the players the five top scorers in the Nigerian league they have to get their date of birth for me, so by the time we reach Nigeria we can start working on those that will come and add their value to our attack.

The win hands the flying Eagles of Nigeria their fourth Bronze Medal coupled with the team’s Seven AFCON titles
