Head coach of the Nigeria Premier League champions Enyimba International George Finidi has attributed their defeat in the Naija Super 8 to tiredness on the part of players.
The 2023 NPL champions lost 2-1 to newly promoted Katsina United on Tuesday to the surprise of many Nigeria football followers.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria assistant coach expressed his sadness about the result but quickly admitted that his players need rest.
“I am sad we are out of Naija Super 8, but at the same time I am happy, we are going home. My players need rest. We are tired”, he said.
