The re-elected President of the Nigerian Basketball Federation NBBF, Musa Kida, has described his re-election as President of the NBBF as divine.
In an exclusive chat with our reporter, Kida said that he will use his good position as president of the new board of NBFF to ensure that basketball in Nigeria is taken to its Zenith in the world of basketball.
“I cannot thank God enough for this victory, that I’m re-elected as President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation NBBF is not by my making, rather it is the divine arrangement of God. So this is not a speech making day, as the President of this noble Federation, my duty is to work in harmony with all elected board members and stakeholders to ensure that NBBF is taken to its premier position in the world basketball.”
“This new NBBF board is ready to work with relevant stakeholders to put the game back to track. So, I use this opportunity to appeal to all concerned parties to put their differences aside and join hands with us to take the NBBF to its pinnacle of glory. We are totally committed to the overall development of this game. Every stakeholder is important and has one role or the other to play.
“We cannot achieve our goal when there is a divided house. NBBF in Nigeria is one united body and we must work as one indivisible entity. I have been there before, I know what it takes to have good and purposeful leadership, and I know with the cooperation of everyone we will get to where God Almighty wants us to get to.”
“Once again I want to thank the Edo State Government and the people for the wonderful hospitality and thank all stakeholders, representatives of NBBF across the country for giving us another mandate to serve. We thank God for a hitch-free exercise and like said before our objective is to ensure the success of the game,” he said.
