On loan Nigeria and Supersport United forward Etiosa Ighodaro has revealed what Mamelodi Sundown coach Rulani Mokwena told him.

Ighodaro had a superb season at Chippa United where he was also on loan. The Nigerian striker netted 11 goals in all competitions.

Ighodaro is originally signed by South African champion Mamelodi Sundown but is yet to stay a season with the club.

“He [Rulani Mokwena] just told me that I should just try one more time,” Ighodaro told the media at the team’s pre-season camp in Durban.

“To try one more time then after this, I will be back home. So just this move, then there is an opportunity [to go back].

Ighodaro also spent a season on loan at Motsepe Foundation Championship side University of Pretoria in 2021/22.
