Contrary to the reports emanating from the certain sections of media, the Nigeria Football Federation has denied the rumour of the New Jersey launch for the Super Eagles.
The rumour of nee jersey filtered into the media space on Thursday ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations but the federation on Friday released a statement denying the rumour.
” Rumours about a new jersey launch between NIKE and the senior Men’s National team circulating on social media has been brought to our notice.
We want to inform the general public that this claim is not true. At the moment, we have no jersey being launched for the Super Eagles for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to be held in Cote’D’Ivoire next month,” the statement read.
The invited players for the competition are expected to arrive in camp on Monday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
