After missing the club’s last league match, the manager of the English Championship side Leicester City Enzo Maresca has given an update on the injury of Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
The left-footed attacker was among the 25 players listed by the Nigeria Football Federation for the next year’s African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The Foxes defeated Cardiff 0-2 without the skilful and the boss released an update about him after the game.
“He had a muscular problem some days ago. We’ll see now how he is and if he can be okay for the next one”, the coach said.
Super Eagles will resume camp in Abu Dhabi on Monday and Iheanacho is one of the players who are expected to arrive the same day.
