Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has appointed a four-man Caretaker Committee for a Nigeria National League side, Kano Pillars.
The appointment according to the press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Abba Anwar is with immediate effect. Composition of the committee has Kabiru Baita, Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports, as Chairman. Other members are:Abba Galadima, Mukhtar Ahmed and Engineer Munir Ahmed Gwarzo.
The press statement reads: “For effect and smooth running of Kano Pillars football club, governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the appointment of Caretaker Committee for the club.
Both the constitution of the Committee and the appointment of members are with immediate effect.
The terms of reference given to the Committee are, to oversee all the affairs of the team, to determine all issues related to the team and to make any recommendation(s) that is considered as appropriate for the team.
They would be reporting to the Office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Usman Bala Muhammad (mni).
Composition of the Committee has Kabiru Baita, Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports, as Chairman, with three members.
The members of the Committee are Abba Galadima, Mukhtar Ahmed and Engineer Munir Ahmad Gwarzo, Managing Director, Water Resources and Engineering Construction Authority (WRECA).” The statement ended.
Having relegated from the country’s top-flight football in the 2021/22 NPFL, Kano Pillars will ply their trade in the country’s Second Division, 2023 NNL season.
