Rivers United got its CAF Confederation Cup campaign back on track after it piped Group C leader Club Africain of Tunisia 1-0 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

This followed a 2-0 loss the team suffered at Dreams FC of Ghana the previous week.

Nyima Nwagua was inspirational for his team as he bagged the match winner with his strike in the 40 minutes.

Rivers United, who are Nigeria’s only flag bearers on the continent, are now leveled on 6points from three matches, with Club Africain and Ghana’s Dreams FC who defeated Angola’s APC Lobito in Luanda.

The Port Harcourt club will on Wednesday, December 20 face a rematch with Club Africain in Tunis in continuation of the continental competition.
