Former U 23 player, Sadiq Umar was absolutely an outstanding player for Almeria in their 3-1 demolition of Cartegena.
Umar scored the first goal of the match as at 19 minutes of play via assit from Jose Carlos. He then registered his name again in the score sheet but the goal was ruled out all thanks to no VAR.
He tormented the back line of the hosts with his intelligent runs and could’ve gotten more than a goal in the end.
Umar hit a brace last week in a warmup match between Almeria and Real Betis.
Notching 20 goals in the La Liga Smartbank League last season, Sadiq Umar will hope to surpass that in this new season as he is simply a goal getter and a deadly attacker in front of goal.
Having been invited twice to the super Eagles but club was restricted, Sadiq Umar may likely get another call up soon to the national team
