Relegation-threatened US Cremonese continue their quest to survive the drop on Friday as they secured a vital victory over Empoli.
Super Eagles striker Cyril Dessers lived up to expectations as he netted the only goal of the game.
Cremonese demonstrated their readiness to win the game from the blast of the whistle and their effort quickly paid off as Dessers scored in the 4th minute.
Empoli who also has Super Eagles defender Tyrone Ebuehi in their lineup tried to come back into the game but found it difficult to break down the defence line of Cremonese.
Dessers was replaced in the 67th minute by another Nigerian David Okereke as they secured maximum points from the game.
