South Africa International Percy Tau is set to become the African-based highest-paid player if he signs a new contract with the Egyptian Premier League giant Al Ahly.
Tau joined the African champions a few years ago from the English Premier League side Brighton Hove Albion.
His inclusion in the Egyptian side has contributed immensely to the team as he was responsible for the team’s triumph in the 2023 African Champions League.
The update coming from Egypt indicates that Ahly management has offered Tau a new deal until 2028 with a massive pay rise.
He will earn $1.6 million per year in 2028, $1.4 million in 2027, and $1.2 million in 2026.
