Ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifier, Zimbabwean winger Tawanda Chirewa has made it clear that his team is not intimidated by Nigeria.
The Warriors of Zimbabwe will face the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday.
Speaking ahead of the match, Chirewa sent a strong message, emphasizing his team’s confidence.
“I’m just focused on recovery and preparing to go again on Tuesday against Nigeria, which is a very good team,” the 21-year-old told The Standard.
“A lot of their players compete in England and Europe, but I want to go out there and showcase my abilities. Our squad also has plenty of talented players, so there’s no reason to fear Nigeria.”
Zimbabwe currently sits at the bottom of the group with just three points from five matches.
