In a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute, Addison Timlin, the estranged wife of Jeremy Allen White, opened up about her experiences after filing for divorce.

Describing the challenges of single motherhood, Timlin, 31, took to Instagram on Sunday, May 14, sharing throwback photos of herself and her two children, alongside a candid message.

She expressed, “Being a single mom is not how I pictured it. It is so fucking hard. It is all out covered in s—t crying on the floor kick you in the shins screaming with no sound coming out hard.” Timlin acknowledged that it can be exhausting and incredibly lonely, yet she also recognized the moments of magic that happen without a witness by her side, moments she urges herself not to forget.

The Pennsylvania native, who has two daughters, Ezer, 4, and Dolores, 2, with White, 32, referred to solo parenting as a “painful” experience. However, she also shared that the lows are outweighed by the staggering heights and happier moments.

Timlin found living with young children to be an eyes-wide-open, wondrous, and joyful place, surrounded by their authentic selves. She wondered if she would have been able to embrace the same authenticity without their example.

Timlin officially filed for divorce from White, known for his role in “The Bear,” on Thursday, May 11, after more than three years of marriage. The “All Roads to Perla” actress submitted a divorce petition categorized as “dissolution with minor child” at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, falling under the “family law division” in L.A.

The estranged couple, who got married in October 2019, first met on the set of their film “Afterschool” in 2008 and spent nearly 15 years together before deciding to end their relationship.

This Mother’s Day tribute marks the first time Timlin has spoken out since filing for divorce. In her post, the “Fallen” star revealed that being a mom was “the only thing I ever wanted.” She emphasized that parenting her two little ones has made her experience the most remarkable being on the planet and that going through it alone has given her more strength, empathy, and tears than anything else in her life ever has.
