A 13-year-old deaf girl has been severally raped by three elderly men.
The men are Alhaji Isiyaku, alias Alhaji Mai Bredi (70); Mohammed Sani Mai Katifa (60) and Yusuf Iyataliya (50), at Gangaren Kwadi in Tudun Wada area of Zaria LGA of Kaduna State.
The primary six pupil was several times raped until when her mother discovered changes in her private part after she complained of pains.
The three men were said to have been luring the girl with money to satisfy their sexual urge.
Confirming the incident, the Ward Head of Gangaren Kwadi, Mallam Mohammed Danliti, said after the girl’s mother discovered changes in her genitals, she thought they were caused by bicycle riding.
Danliti explained:
“It was when the victim’s friend told the mother that she frequently visited Alhaji Mai Bredi in his bakery that the mother suspected foul play and interrogated the girl.
“The girl then revealed that she had been raped not only by Alhaji Mai Bredi, but also the two other suspects, Sani Mai Katifa, and Iyataliya.
“I was then called to come because her mother carried a knife and wanted to attack Alhaji Mai Bredi. I rushed and intervened.”
He added that when the police at the Tudun Wada Division paraded 15 suspects, the girl pointed at the three, who raped her.
