“When I asked FIFA about the World Cup money, this is what the spokesperson said:

Response: FIFA tells me about payments:

“Following the conclusion of the Women’s World Cup, FIFA is in contact with the participating member associations (PMAs) regarding the distribution of payments for the tournament, including the record prize money that will be provided by FIFA”

As part of this, FIFA is providing tailored support to PMAs regarding the distribution of payments that are being made, including to the member association and subsequently to players”, the statement read.
