Having secured the rights to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and jointly organize the 2030 Men’s FIFA World Cup with Spain and Portugal, Morocco is now setting its eyes on a bid to host the 2031 Women’s World Cup in 2031.

The Moroccan government met with both chambers of the country’s parliament on October 26 at the House of Representatives to discuss holding a joint study meeting to explore the feasibility of a Moroccan bid to host the 2031 Women’s World Cup.

Fouzi Lekjaa, the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and Delegate Minister for Budget emphasized the benefits of having the nation host these competitions.

So far, only China and England have expressed interest in hosting the 2031 event.

FIFA has not yet announced the nation that will host the 2027 edition. The decision is expected to be announced next year on May 17.
