The stage is set for national U17 Intra-Zonal Female Volleyball Competition at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan.
According to the information made available to Tribunesport by the zonal director of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sport Development Mr Femi Ajao the competition which is been organized through the grassroot sports department of the ministry in conjunction with the Nigeria Volleyball Federation will attract all states from the southwest zone.
The competition will also hold in other zones:Jos,Bauchi,Kaduna,Be in and Enugu.
Ajao while speaking with Tribunesport disclosed that the competition is part of the programme aimed at discovering players for senior national teams and to prepare the Volleyballers ahead of future junior national and international competitions.
“We are ready at Ibadan zone for the competition because all that are needed to make the competition a hitch free have been put in place and I am optimistic that the competition will leave up to expectations and highly competitive “, he said.
